  • SiX is a security event for Installers and Integrators that focuses on maximising the impact of the latest innovations in today’s solutions.

    To be found on the barox/Clear Vision Technologies stand number C6, barox are inviting visitors to the show to find out how their range of Powerhaus switches, which have been designed to cope with the specific requirements of IP video, can support installers with a host of advanced features. For example, to cope with a greater number of connected cameras vs. standard switches, Powerhaus switches have increased backplane capacities, and feature Enhanced Device Management and troubleshooting (including PoE monitoring and power consumption control,) device scheduling for energy saving, cable diagnostics and SNMP support.

    barox achieves ISO 27001 certification for cyber security

    As part of a control room refurbishment, Thinking Space provided a two-operator console in a curved configuration. The desking focuses around a large Evolution media wall in a 5 x 2 configuration, for CCTV monitoring purposes. The client’s use of a feature wall to match their corporate branding teams with the curved end panel of the console.

  • As part of the relocation and upgrade of the CCTV control room, Thinking Space provided a 3 operator console complete with radio pods as well as two Evolution Media Walls, one for the main control room and one for the Road Traffic Office.

    barox Kommunikation AG, the manufacturer of IT switches designed specifically for the demands of video networks, has introduced ‘Smart Sticky’ MAC & IP address Enterprise-class network security.

    Supporting built-in Cyber security on all barox RY-switches, barox powerful Smart Sticky MAC & IP address learning adds an additional layer of high security. Whilst traditional device protection via MAC filtering alone offers simple protection against unwanted network access, it does not, for example, protect against a widespread attack of ‘MAC spoofing’. Smart Sticky with its combined MAC and IP address protection provides advanced port and network security with Limit Control settings. 

  • The VMS1000™ is a video management software and analytics solution, powered by Digifort, which is cost-effective, scalable, intuitive and server-based, with no annual maintenance fees.

  • Seventy Redvision X-SERIES™ rugged PTZ dome cameras have been used by Graham Firth Communications Ltd. in a new, CCTV-based, traffic management system on the M62 motorway. The M62 is one of the busiest motorways in the UK and the traffic management system, which operates between junction 9 and 12, regularly views up to 120,000 cars a day.

  • Redvision rugged CCTV cameras are helping to protect and manage the British Steel site, Scunthorpe. Specialist security integrator, Videcom Ltd., designed, supplied and installed the surveillance system. It comprised Redvision RV30 Rugged IP, PTZ cameras; a Luxriot EVO Global Enterprise recording system running on a Videcom Xeon Server; and Dahua bullet cameras. The network infrastructure used includes Silvernet wireless transmission, reducing the need for expensive civil works during installation, alongside traditional CAT 5, copper cables.

    A new ARC control room for Protect-Us Monitoring was being accommodated in a brand new building and needed control room furniture. Three two person consoles were manufactured and installed by Thinking Space along with an extensive media wall and storage furniture to complete the new facility.
