  • BLOG: Access Control: Top Trends for 2021

02 Feb 2021 Jessi from CDVI

We have finally shut the door on 2020, and head into 2021 with great uncertainty. But one thing we are certain of, is that the events of 2020 have significantly shaped and evolved the physical security industry. The demands of the COVID-19 pandemic have accelerated the need for and adoption of both existing and emerging technologies to create a safer environment. By identifying access control trends for 2021, we can properly prepare to meet both business and end user needs.

The pandemic has made it difficult to predict demand from one month to the next when it comes to field service engineering. This makes the flexibility of employing contractors even more attractive.

In Autumn 2020 STANLEY Security Solutions approached our contracts team with a considerable challenge: resource a group of 8 – 10 contractors to support the company’s operations in various UK regions.

The requirement was for immediate start and the specification was strict: multiskilled Fire & Security Engineers who could deliver outstanding first fix rates on sophisticated systems.

  • When one of the UK’s leading Fire & Security companies needed to hire a number of hard-to-find field engineers, Zitko was their first choice partner.

We were awarded the assignment on an exclusive basis, with a brief to find engineers skilled and certified in both Fire and Security technologies.

Engineers tend to specialise on one or other field, so the assignment was challenging, especially with the additional requirement to fill the roles urgently across various locations.
