So far, certainly in the UK, the regulations behind Smart Locks has not been in line with the increasing demand, which has lead to the markets reputation becoming damaged by cheap "knockoffs" that have given customers many horror stories. With Regulations now starting to catch up, and official acreditation becoming obtainable on Smart products, the best companies will thrive as the knockoffs will fade, leading to the reputation of Smart Locks healing and improving over the coming years.
