Born and educated on the Channel Island of Jersey, Jon Trott (Jonathan Trott 46) a keen sailor enjoyed a successful career within the postal/fulfilment industry before moving to the United Kingdom to take up an audit role with a multinational IT provider in 2012. His move to physical security came late in 2013 when he joined Cova Security Gates, a world leader in hostile vehicle mitigation products as compliance officer. In 2022 Jon became Managing Director having spent time as both Operations manager then Operations Director.

Aside from his day job, Jon is an active council member of the Perimeter Security Suppliers Association (PSSA). The PSSA is growing across the globe, as the trade association for companies involved in the supply and installation of products, designed to provide high levels of physical protection and intruder detection for sites and their external perimeters, in all circumstances where terrorist or criminal attack is a perceived risk.
