Gaon is the UK’s Immigration Services Commissioner, Chair of the Police Advisory Board for England and Wales, and Interim Chair of the NHS Counter Fraud Authority. Gaon is also Managing Director of Legal Advisory Worldwide, a boutique consultancy advising companies on economic crime frameworks, fraud, bribery & corruption, money laundering, ESG etc. Gaon also acts as Chair to multiple regulatory bodies for their Misconduct fitness to practice hearings.

Formerly a Senior Crown Advocate, specialising in investigating and prosecuting high-profile complex corporate crime, including being the Lead UK Prosecutor for Public Corruption. Gaon was seconded to government to lead various public consultations, including leading the design of the UK’s counter-fraud architecture and the design of the UK Bribery Act.

In the private sector, Gaon was Head of Public Policy for Amazon (Customer Trust) and Head of Global Anti-Bribery & Corruption (Advisory, Policy & Training) for HSBC.

Born and raised to South African vociferous anti-apartheid campaigners. Gaon's parents’ courageous activism profoundly influenced his lifelong commitment to justice, ethical leadership, anti-discrimination and resilience.
