Bethany Delaney
From the age of four, I’ve been immersed in the world of events - starting with ripping up raffle tickets, signing in performers on stage with my dad, and supporting my mam as she brought her events to life. Raised by military parents, high standards, discipline, and resilience were instilled in me early on, shaping the foundation for the career I’ve built.
During Covid, when traditional exams were uncertain, my parents’ training division provided the support needed to complete my functional skills, allowing me to gain an engineering qualification through school. I went on to achieve a Level 4 Cyber Security Network Engineering qualification after completing an apprenticeship with TekGem, all while working as a steward with Hinson Security.
Since then, I have continued to expand my skill set, earning my SIA licence, handcuffing certification, FREC 3, and event security qualifications. Earlier this year, I completed my BDO, which opened the door to incredible opportunities to work with major names and events including Robbie Williams, HRH, and the NFL.
I now work full-time at Hinson Security as the PEEL, where I take pride in mentoring and supporting the next generation - both male and female - to move forward from old-school mindsets and embrace the evolving standards of professionalism, training, and adaptability that define our industry today. Every step of my journey has strengthened my commitment to growth, excellence, and raising the bar for those who follow.
