Zitko Group had the privilege of attending the march at London Pride with The Rainbow+ Team, helping to celebrate the movement’s landmark 50th anniversary. 

Pride is an event that brings awareness and acceptance towards the LGBTQ+ community and is celebrated across the world. It serves as a reminder of the huge achievements the movement has made in the fight towards equality and the progress that is still to be made. Zitko was one of many companies from the fire and security industry attending the march, all gathering together to demonstrate the sector’s commitment to improving its diversity. 

Chubb, the UK’s leading provider of fire-safety and security solutions, is proud to launch an accelerated development programme designed to attract and train new industry-entrants in partnership with Zitko Talent, the world’s leading recruitment agency for the Fire and Security industry.

The accelerated development programme will last approximately 18 weeks, starting with alternating blocks of technical training, field experience and manufacturer-led certified product training. Trainees will emerge as certified Fire and Security engineers, equipped with the knowledge required to work within Chubb’s installation and maintenance teams. 

Zitko Group has recently undergone a major shift in its structure, combining our Sales, Technical and Managed Service divisions into one streamlined Client Services division. In addition to this, the leadership team has also been refreshed with Dave Geddes transitioning to Commercial Director and Tim Ward taking on his new role as Client Services Director.

It gives our trainees insider access to Eagle Eye Networks' renowned product training and technology workshops, covering key digital concepts such as CCTV systems integration and networking, video analytics and AI, and the deployment of cloud / VSaaS solutions. From our conversations with employers, we know this is good news. Many have large numbers of experienced engineers who cut their teeth in the analogue world, so expanding digital expertise within the workforce is a priority.

There is no doubt that Zitko is unique in the way that kindness and empathy are instilled in its identity, and while I am so proud to work here and contribute to its culture, it is a disheartening reality that so many other companies don’t share it's values.
