Thinking Space supported Reflex Systems for the design and build of the control room furniture for the project.
The control room itself also benefitted from a full re-design and upgrade in conjunction with Thinking Space and benefitted from a new fourteen screen free standing monitor wall as well as three new consoles, one of which is fully height adjustable, to accommodate a total of six operators at any one time.

The project objective was to modernise and upgrade an existing and successful control room. FCM had a very wellformed specification for the new control room, both in appearance and technical specification.

The scope of works for Thinking Space included the brief of 4 different desk designs for the 96 positions. The desk designs had to meet the furniture layout arrangement that Showcase PSR had worked with the client to achieve.
Central to this design was 3 large horseshoe desk arrangements, one for each geographical region, Southampton, Portsmouth & the Isle of Wight. All desks installed were height adjustable and accommodated up to 4 screens per position.
